My Yoga Story: My yoga journey actually started with meditation. I have always been an active person, doing everything from running to boxing. Even though I taught yoga to my high school students in our PE class, and noticed the incredible benefits I saw from my students that week every semester, taking the time to do yoga myself, was never really on my radar. It didn't seem like my style or pace of workout. In 2017, my husband encouraged me to get into meditation, which led to reading many books and trying to deepen my understanding of not only how to meditate, but the best type of meditation would work best for me. When I started doing yoga, in many ways, it felt like a moving meditation and I loved how I felt, physically, mentally and emotionally, after each savasana. I am so grateful to have found yoga. I loved it so much that I wanted to give my high school students a better understanding of yoga, which is what brought me to Yoga Teacher Training. It brings me so much joy to be able to serve others through yoga.

For fun, I like to sit on my screened in porch with my husband and three cats, maybe sipping a cocktail, travel (I'll go anywhere but Italy is my favorite place), spend time outside, cook, and work out, whether it's on my mat, riding my bike or walking/running my neighborhood.
