The Building Blocks of Yoga


Build your yoga practice from the ground up! Start with the foundations of yoga and learn an entire flow sequence over the course of four weeks while taking time to break down pose alignment, sensations, benefits, modifications and common cues. Perfect for new students looking for a primer before jumping into a full class, great for yogis interested in refining their practice. Each class will open with intention setting and close with a relaxation.

Each week will build on the week before but sessions can be taken on a drop-in basis to focus on a particular category of poses.

  • Sun Salutations A & B

Learn, practice, and refine the poses and transitions that make up Sun Salutation A & B - including High to Low Plank (Chaturanga), Cobra & Upward and Downward Facing Dog.

  • Standing Poses

Building on a strong foundation of sun salutations, find your footing in poses such as Warrior 2, Crescent twist, Triangle and more!

  • Balancing Act

Following a series of postures to warm up and strengthen - develop ease and grace in balance through focus. Training the mind to find calm through turbulence both on and off the mat.

  • Let's FLOW!

Bringing newfound wisdom to your practice, incorporating all learned postures into a vinyasa flow sequence with attention on alignment and breath. Laying a foundation for an enjoyable and enriching continued yoga journey.
