Amy began her yoga practice five years ago, as a way to help her with her marathon training. She quickly fell in love with the practice as a way to balance not only her physical well-being, but all areas of her life.

After realizing her passion for yoga, Amy was driven to open her own yoga studio. She and her husband Shawn have spent the last year searching for the ideal community to open the Yoga Lounge and are thrilled to call Hudson their new home.

Amy earned her 200-hour yoga certificate through the T.R.Y 4 Life program with Jan Hauenstein and Judy Barr in 2004. She has also studied with Brian Kest, Rodney Yee, Simon Park and many yogis in the Cleveland area.

Amy has attended training workshops with Baron Baptiste and is growing as a student under his teachings. She feels that as a student of Baron Baptiste, she can approach life and work with commitment, courage, faith, imagination, focused thinking, and truth. These ideals will be passed along to her students who will be able to grow in the principles of Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga.

However, her family - her husband, four wonderful children and three loving dogs - teach her life’s most important lessons each day.

Amy loves to teach a strong power-vinyasa flow class, yet makes everyone feel welcome and empowers them to do their best; no matter what level. She introduces new students to yoga and teaches the importance of incorporating breath and strength into their daily lives.

One of her favorite quotes is: Life is not about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself. (source unknown)
